how often should i wash my hair?

girls tell me they only wash their hair like once every 3 days or something like that because when you use shampoo it gets rid of the natural oils in your hair.
is this true?
im male with 2 inch hair but am growing it out, should i not use shampoo and conditioner everyday? how often??

You should wash your hair when it is dirty or greasy. If your hair isn't oily, you may not need to wash it often. If it gets really oily, there's no reason not to wash every day.

It's true that shampoo gets rid of the natural oils in your hair. You're supposed to use conditioner to keep your hair from getting dry between washes.


Just looking for a few good hair slaves - is that too much to ask?

Um, I wash my hair everyday except for saturdays. I have about maybe 9-11 inch hair, and my hair doesnt get oily or dirty just in one or two days. So does that affect my hair in any bad way?

As long as you're not planning to grow your hair to an "extreme" length. (by extreme, I mean past waist) You should be fine.

I wash my hair every 2-3 days.  I conditioner wash every other wash.  So far the results are great.
