Blue Black Hair?

I used the Loreal Black its in the silver box like ten dollars at walmart?.... It turned blue black for the first week or so... then it started to lighten, it looked cool for a while,

You can check out my pictures there with the hair color.
But after those pictures where taken, i can tell you dont use it over semi blonde or blonde hair, (hence I've only died my hair black once in my life besides this...)
So if you have blonde hair, die it twice once with regular dark color, any color dark brown, brown black?
Then dye it.
It pretty much goes along with the rules of bleaching your hair almost white to get shocking blue and bubble gum pink., cause if you dont the pink will turn orang ish, and the blue with definatly turn into a teal/green tint. But anyways anyone got any better than drug store/walsh*tmart brands that work well for blue black?

if you havent dyed your hair yet.. i have something to tell you.. i dyed my hair blue/black, and before that i had brown hair with red and blonde highlights.. so yes it does work. but believe me.. i have had my hair dyed blue/black for about a month maybe.. and yes it did look blue. but also my hair looked black, purple, blue, and sometimes pinkish. so whatever u wanna do just beware.. i am struggling right now becuz i want to have my natural color back ( light brown, dark blonde ) and well its gunna take a while to find out how to get rid of this color, becuz i have gotten sick of it.. and not being myself. but if u get to a time that u do want to get rid of that color, DO NOT STRIP YOUR HAIR! it damages ur hair pretty bad.. ( so i was told by my hair stylist )

Hi i'm new to this site. i stumbled upon this thread and i thought i'd post here to see if anyone could give me some advice. i've been thinking of dying my hair a blue black colour. i was planning on buying that garnier 100% colour.

i have pale (fair, light, whatever you want to call it) skin and dark brown hair. i was wondering if this color would even look any good on me cause i really like the blue tone to it and the dark colour. my mom thinks it will make me look gothic (i'm not a goth) because of my pale skin tone. and i was just wondering if it will suit me or not. i don''''t know if anyone still posts on this thread, but i thought i try hear anway to see if i got a reply.

How long does the blue last?

I tried dying my hair blue black, permanent, and the blue didn't really come out at all. Not only that, the black is starting to fade.

Roxanne, did you like it? Is it very drying and did it last (not fading so much)? I don't mind trying this new Garnier 100% myself and I don't mind if it stays permanent, but I don't like the nature of permanent dyes. I'm thinking of just dyeing my Mega Cools Onyx Sheen with 10 vol. instead of 20 for more gentle effect but not sure if I'm allowed to do this.

well then what are the best dyes for long-lasting blue-black hair... ? ima gonna buy 100% color by garnier but i wanted to know if theres anything else... by like loreal or something....

Anyone have tried L'oreal Preference Mega Cools in Onyx Sheen? Is it a good blue black color? It looks very bluish black.

hey im planning to dye my hair and i wanna either buy that garnier 100% blue-black or revlon colorsilk blue black... im really pale (paler then amy lee, at that) and my hair is a mixture of brown and light brown with reddish tones... would my hair get all weirdish or would it work out on me? oh yeah, and my hair is like super-thick and super-frizzy so i want something that wont reallly kill it... plus i want to know, for future reference, what are the best blue-black hair dyes...? *wants to complete her gothiness*

Anyone tried either Garnier 100% or Revlon Colorsilk Blue Black dyes yet? I'm leaning towards Colorsilk 'cause it is ammonia free and more gentle on hair, I presume. Please let me know before I buy, thanks!
