My sister-in-law's counsin was a Cosmo makeover girl a few years back. She said that they put Vaseline on her hair and face to make her look like crap and then cut her hair (of course) and did her makeup so she'd look fabulous. My sister-in-law said her cousin is beautiful every day anyway so the result was what she was used to. It sounds as if it is more a make"under". Has anyone else heard of Cosmo doing this?

It sounds to me as more a matter of pure deception.

All "women's" magazines do these types of things to sway you
to think that the haircut is an improvement.

A great topic for the Hair Politics board, Tory, if you want
to discuss it further (hint,hint)...
