My hair color is a cross between Keri Russell and Jennifer Garner''s colors, particularly in the picture in this link. http://www.wireimage.com/GalleryListing.asp?navtyp=SRH&nbc1=1&str=jennifer+garner&styp=&sfld=C&sortval=4d&PageNum=2

Would you say that''s light brown (like a darker light brown) or medium brown (maybe more on the lighter side of medium brown). I only want to know because I want to dye my hair at home and I''m not sure if I can dye it the particular color I want because the hair color website indicates that it would only be good if I have light brown hair and those little hair swatches are hard to go by. Thanks.

I think that Jennifer Garner's hair is a little darker than light brown but I wouldn't necessarily say it was medium brown. Try using the hair swatches they have under the hairdyes at the grocery store/drugstore and see if you can match up your hair to that. I had the same problem before, except I was trying to dye my hair back to it's "natural" color and I had no idea what that was because I've tried so many different colors in the past and had dyed my hair for so long that I couldn't even remember just what shade my hair was, a realization I made when I would dye my hair and it didn't look right. Be careful if you're checking out your roots because roots can definitely appear darker than your end pieces and you may think you have medium brown hair only because it's a little bit of new growth that hasn't seen the sun and is in stark contrast to your current color. Hope that helps.
