Hi there guys, did my first bodywave install on Sunday and the girl has already e-mailed me complaining about the hair.  I bought colours 4 and 12 from my english bohyme supplier but he doesn't stock the blonde colours so I bought colour 613 from Afrocare.  She says that the whole lot of hair has dropped its curl totally and the blonde has gone like a frizz ball and has loads of split ends now.  I made her aware that the bodywave does lose its curl but not after one wash.  I feel terrible as now I've got to do a refit and I'm gutted.  Its made me look really bad.  I'm going to leave in the colours 4 & 12 bohyme in, trim the ends and install straight 613 then tong it for her.  So I wouldn't recommend buying Afrocare's colour 613 bodywave!!!!! BEWARE

Oh that sucks have you thought about introducing synthetic hair to ur clients such as plastikhaar? By the looks of Amms hair it keeps the wave and still looks soft and shiny

I've found that most human hair really drops its wave to some extent, bodywave even more so. All the human hair I've used that is anything short of Deep Wave has straightened out to nearly straight. I've started choosing my HH one texture curlier than the client's hair for this reason. It's a pain in the ass, isn't it?

I second what Rae said.  To me, body wave looks almost straight with just a slight bend (no real curl) after the first wash.

Well I suggested the plastikhaar to her but she made the point that I had said that "if I had known what the bodywave had turned out like I wouldn't have installed it" so she reiterated that to me because I haven't tried the Plastikhaar yet, although I've ordered it for myself so I will have tested that out myself, can't wait xx

I have previously had sleek bodywave (wefts) installed and have used this on many occasions and the curl stays in for me, I know a lot of people are not keen on sleek but it was lovely and lasted for weeks.

Hey everyone take a look at this I found it on the web then someone sent me an email about it!!

Ive almost ALWAYS used 'body wave', and it always drops to nearly, or basically straight after ONE wash. Mainly it just has enough body to hold a curl better than 'straight'.

why dont you try shampooing it with a curl shampoo- Matrix makes curl life. ther is a shampoo/cond and spray gel.

dry it with a defusier and see if the curls pops back in.

Hi Amanda, Im so sorry to hear about what happend.  It can be so frustrating at times when hair isn't consistant as customers begin questioning you which is unfair!  I done a customer 2 weeks ago with Racoon Euro remi hair (the good stuff) and have been doing her for years and i got my first Racoon bad batch of hair.  It was a mega bad batch and cost me nearly £40 for only 1oz of 10" hair.  I now have to re-do as customer says its mega bad batch. When i called Racoon the lady wasn't very helpful as feel she didn't listen to anything i was saying and felt she kept blaiming my customer with thing si know my customer wouldnt do as she had never complained before. ahhh!!!!

Anyway, contact your supplier as he now has bohyme bodywave in a few blondes and mix colours (not  alot of selection though) 2 i can remember are 613/27 mix or 613 on its own, cant remember the others.  I wouldnt advice you putting straight blonde into the hair as i done that once and the client complained that she had to tong the straight hair to blend it in with the rest all the time.

xxx

Hi there Marie, yes thank you very much for the sample, not sure if I like the FR though.xx

Shel - She says that the bodywave in the browns have gone totally straight so I'm just going to replace the Afrocare blonde with some straight to match the rest.  She says she's ok with the tonging xx

Tangles - She's having none of it, she wants that blonde outta her hair! LOL xx

Amanda: That's awesome that you're trying PH. I think you'll be impressed. Keep in mind that the waves/curls drop in PH, too, though. The less you wash, the slower they'll drop, but eventually, they will need to be reset. I would recommend getting a set of flocked hot rollers, which work incredibly well on PH. :)

Where do I get them from chick and do they come in different sizes x  Once reset with rollers, how long will the curl last again, until the next wash?
