Brushes

It does not matter how many brushes you have. What matters is, are they good quality brushes?

I use a standard wave brush made of wood with wide rows of "firm" bristles. Some would say "hard" brushes are for coarse hair.  No, Hard brushes are for any hair type. It depend on if you have a sensitve scalp or not.

I also have a wave brush with flexable bristles. "Soft" brushes can be used for sensitive scalps, but they are not good for forming 360 waves.

Pomade

You can melt it or rub it until soft. Either way the object is to put it in your hair evenly. While you hair is still soft and moist after you have wash it, rub it in your hands to melt it and put it in your hair.

Brush, Brush, Brush until your hands get tired.

I have four brushes, 2medium and 2hard. When I get a fresh cut I use the 2 mediums for the first 2weeks and then switch to the 2hard for the following 2weeks. And I know some one is gonna ask why I use 2 brushes at a time, the answer is that I like to brush both of my sides at the same time. Occaisionally I do my back with 2 brushes.(I get good results this way) I use only 1 brush when brushing the top.

With pommades I just rub it in my hands for a couple of seconds and then put in my hair.

Two brushes, good idea. That will save time.
