QuoteReplyTopic: I want to straighten my curls Posted: September 05 2005 at 1:44pm
I'm tired of flat ironing. I want to chemically straighten or at least relax my curls. What's the best product for this? I'm caucasian and have dry, curly, highlighted hair. Any suggestions??
If your hair is highlighted, then chemically straightening your hair may not be the best option to go. Go talk to your hairstylist first and have her see if your hair is too damaged to be chemically straightened. You may also want to try a silkener. They relax your curls, but don't completely get rid of them.
Personally, I'd learn to love the curls you have. All curly hair needs is the right products and maybe some layering or thinning out depending on the thickness and type or curl you have. That's my opinion though. I have curly hair too. I know where you are coming from.
DANGER! I drive like you do.

I agree with porpoise, talk to your stylist first. If your hair is not more than 40% highlighted you can use Rusk radical anticurl formula #2. That formula is multidimentional and specificallly designed for colored, highlighted or highlift tinted hair. Is a hair texturizer, it will give you softer, looser, smoother, frizz free curls when wearing your hair curly; and beautifull straigth, shiny, smooth, frizz free hair, when blow drying or flat ironing. Check out if they perform this service at your salon, or at a salon near you.
