Bangs Going Two Different Directions!

Hiya!
I have no idea what this is called exactly...I don't think it's a cow-lick (collick...oh can't spell it) anyway...I have long bangs. Whenever I try to part the hair on the side it looks off. Because at the root of the bangs they want to go in one direction...while the rest of the hair goes in the other. I've tried switching sides, but the problem is still there.
If you guys could take a look at the picture, I don't know how much help it will be... But if you could check it out and give me some tips for what I can do to stop it doing that. I'd REALLY appreciate it!

 It usually makes it worse. Looks lopsided.
