QuoteReplyTopic: I <3 silicone micro rings! **PIC ADDED** Posted: April 09 2006 at 2:15am
I really can't say enough good things about them! As far as I can see the
main pros are these:
no heat involved so I dont burn my fingers
No glue involved to take down is easy peasy
I can get conditioner all up in this piece and nothing falls out
The only con so far:
You cant use very thick tips because the inside of them is small.
I have a full install, probably about 230 in all, and I've lost only two, and
those fell out of the ring itself rather than the whole thing sliding out so I
put it down to me not being able to see what I'm doing round the back.
No slippage so far which is nothing short of a miracle for me! These are,
by far the best method I've used for myself.
I got these rings from Aphrodite, and I know she said that they were
available in a larger size which I'd like to investigate so that I could use
those around the back and underneath to get a little more thickness.
Other than that, no complaints!! :)
I will post pics of my install tomorrow :)
P.S. I am using Amandas English Bohyme and I <3 that too!
Very happy with this install!

I have done many sets with this to and have to say I agree. I haven't seen any damage with theses either. They dont have the sharp edge other shells have and they hold much better too! I love them!
I know its not the greatest picture, but you get the idea. I will enlist the bf to
take a picture of the back tomorrow.
Excuse my Hello Kitty PJ's and bra hanging out. haha.
P.S. I'm not watching gay porn I promise!
Well... not today anyway, haha.
If you buy your hair already pretipped, you can ask your supplier if they have a choice of pretipped by the weight. Usually the different sizes in pretips are: 0.50g/pc,0.80g/pc,1g/pc. The small sized threader used with the sizes 2.6mm and 2mm silicone microrings and the 0.50g/pc pretipped hair fit nicely!
If you pretip your own hair, then ignore my post!

thank you ladies :)
My hair is about jaw length at the sides, collar length at the back, I used
3mm sl-micro rings.
elvira, I do pre-tip my own hair right now but I'd like to get away from that,
especially since other people keep asking me to do theirs and I dont have
time to do all their pre-tipping as well!
I was thinking of buying the EP EZplugs to test out, I didnt see on the site
that they came in different weights, but I will ask them. thanks for the tip!
(pun intended!)

hmph, my pic didnt work this time....
But thats the link for the back of it.
Looking at it in a picture the blending isnt spot on, I might dye a few of
those top ones to blend better.... I dont really think it looks quite as obvious
irl, its hard to say when you only see the back in a mirror but I think the
flash showed up the join more than it shows when youre just looking at it
though :)
