I think I'll give it a try as well. I've been very open for lots
of stuff that can help with your body & hair, treatments and hair
styling techniques (tried long/short hair, (semi-)permanent coloring,
currently perming - and I love it) and I'm willing to give this a try
as well...
But like sillknsilver mentioned, is it tablespoon or teaspoon measures?

BC (before children) I applied a home conditioning treatment each week while cleaning the house. Nothing has worked so well as this, but I have to warn you, it is gross and time consuming. This has been handed down from my grandmother who used it all her life and has beautiful hair at 8- yrs old!
For short hair, mix
1 egg yolk
1 spoon of Cognac (just buy a cheap brand)
1 spoon of castor oil (may use olive oil, but castor is better)
Rub into hair paying special attention to scalp and ends. Cover with a shower cap and a warm towel (you can microwave a damp towel) and leave on for at least 30 minutes - 1 hour, the longer the better. Wash, wash, wash......it will take some time to get it out. Repeat weekly, you should have no split ends and noticeably healthier, stronger hair within a month.'
My hair is longer so I use 4x times as much.
I got my hair fried with a perm/bleach combo and this thing saved my hair.
