Help me please...greenish-gray hair!

My hair is gray! I had lowlights put into my very light blonde hair and my base color deepened (from a 12 to a 10) last night, but not surprisingly, the lowlights came out very ashy (she used a neutral). I really like the darker base color, but it`s such a contrast (gold vs gray) to the lowlights. She did try to alter it last night, and it looked a lot better. But after washing my hair this morning, it looks awful.

I plan to call my stylist tomorrow (she`s off today), but can anyone offer some guidance on how to improve this (i.e., something I can pick up from Sally`s)? Thanks in advance.

then perhaps it`s best to skip the high/lowlights and try again later.
