QuoteReplyTopic: My RK Indian Hair (contains some big photos) Posted: September 22 2007 at 7:10am
Here is what I ordered just last week from rkindianhairs, it only took about 4 days to arrive.
I got colours #24 and #18 in 26".
The hair is alot better than what I expected, although I ordered curly, as you can tell from the photos it just came as wavey.
I think that's just where the hair has been bleached it tends to lose its curl.
Although the hair is really soft and doesn't tangle, I dont think I'll be using it because the colours are just a little bit off and it just isn't curly enough for my natural hair.
If you look at the hair in person you can see that the hair has a gold tinge to it.
To remove the goldy colour from the blonde, I done a test strand and put a toner on it that I got from Sally's and it worked perfectly, and was an exact match to my own hair. I may do this to the rest of the hair.
Here are some photos anyway to show you it in different lights.
Also here are two recent installs that I have done on two friends:
This is just some hair from a local beauty shop:
Here is an install of Kristin's from yourhairshop.com's D-Lux hair that I bought on sale.
Although the colour was an exact match and it blended really well with her hair, I think for a more natural look the hair should have been feathered or layered more at the back into more of a point, personally. But it still looks quite natural.

The install looks natural to me, it's very pretty. You did a great job. Have you wet the hair yet? I've found that curly hair usually look wavy upon arrival but once it's wet the curls spring to life. You may have to shampoo it for the curls to spring up.

Hi Ms.Honey, thanks for the tip, I done what you said and used shampoo on it to wash it properly, but it still just came out as wavey as before. But I've decided I will be installing it tomorrow anyway after alot of colouring and bleaching tonight! lol
I done a few curls with a gas hair curler and the hair is so soft it holds the curl really well! I will post pics of my install when it's done!

What is a gas hair curler? I have my credit card in my hand as we speak.
Try Pantene Hydrating Curls shampoo and conditioner and let it sit in the conditioner for about a 1/2 hr. that may help. I have a loose curly that took about a week of wear and water spritzing before the curls showed up, weird I know. Do you follow up with a protein treatment like aPHogee after you bleach?
