Deciding on new hairstyle but need help

I dont understand what exactly it means when it says towel blot strands then detangle them from the end of the roots can someone plz explain it for me. Thanks

Step 2: Towel blot strands. Do not rub wet hair which is more fragile and can break. Detangle strands from the ends to the roots.


Also guys I need to use a product like this but i have read reivews and heard that this product contains a very strong scent Aveda Men Pure-formance Liquid Pomade- so if anyone has any suggestions i would greatly appreciate it.
