Best Curly Hair Detanglers?

Hi all,

I have talked to a ton of curly folks and I have discovered a few things. 

1.  People with curly hair who detangle in the shower may or may not use different conditioning/detangling products in the shower versus out of the shower to detangle.
2.  Some people alternate between detangling in the shower and detangling only after cleansing the hair and towel blotting.
3.  Most people always detangle before cleansing to prevent worse tangling during cleansing.

What is your detangling routine?  Do you always detangle before cleansing, detangle in the shower and detangle after towel blotting?  Do you only detangle in the shower or only after the shower?
