QuoteReplyTopic: Growing my hair out, Help! Posted: January 25 2012 at 9:30pm
I've always had short hair, so I'm letting it grow out for a
change. Problem is, I've never had long hair so I don't know what to expect.
First problem, my hair is thick and kind of bushy/frizzy. When I wake up in the
morning, it's sticking out everywhere and it's not affected by gravity.
Literally. If I shake my head, it doesn't bounce or shake, and no matter which
way I tilt my head, my hair doesn't fall or even lean in that direction. So any
hair product recommendations that can help relax my hair would be greatly
appreciated.
My hair is wavy, not straight, so that kind of limits my styles. Luckily, I
found a perfect style that I'm going for.
My hair is thick and wavy, like John Morrison's, so that's what I'm going for.
Plus, I like how he pulls his hair backwards. To help with this, and to keep my
hair from sticking out everywhere, I wear a hat or beanie. This forces my hair
backwards and keeps it somewhat neat, so I don't look like a bum.
Anyway, I'm here looking for any help at all to get this hairstyle down. I'm
sick of having the same short haircuts, and I think I can pull off long hair
(if I grow it out and it doesn't work out, I'll just cut it, no biggie). I'd
appreciate responses from professional Hairdressers/Stylists or Guys and Girls
with long, stubborn hair.
If it's any help, I use TRESemme shampoo and conditioner.
Thank you for any advice.
Here's my hair when It's combed straight:

And here's my hair pulled back (It's how I always keep it.):

P.S. Sorry if the picture makes you uncomfortable. John Morrison is a Pro
Wrestler, so It's hard to find good pictures of him with a shirt on.
