How Can I Achieve This Hairstyle. Need Help!!

                  I'm recently doing a play set in 
the 1920's and the director has asked if I can style my hair to that 
time period. He has even provided the funding to get it professionally 
done. I'm hispanic and have very tight curls (kind of like corbin bleu)

The director wants my hair to look this way

My question is, obviously with straightening, layering,thinning out and 
styling can my hair achieve this hairstyle or something very close
 to it. If anyone with much knowledge in hair styling could answer this 
for me it would be greatly appreciated
