I have just recently started wearing a buzz cut (cut with clippers with no attachment, but not shaved smooth), and was wondering if there is any one brand of clipper which cuts closer to the scalp than others. I find that the Con-Air unit I have doesn't cut quite short enough. BTW, I don't do it myself, but have it cut at home by a non-professional. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Have you tried an electric shaver? This will get closer. If you want the bald look, men usually shave their heads everyday. With a Barber License under my belt, I haven't seen any that are any closer then others, just better motors for long lasting for using them all day long.....which you won't be. You might even try T-edgers after you use your clippers.

Just a few suggestions,

Lili

I use the Oster Turbo A5. I think it's actually an animal grooming clipper, but it works incredibly well. If you're looking to get as close to the skin without actually shaving with a razor, this is probably it.

Oh, welcome to the ranks of the buzzcutted.

Do you like the look so far?
Peace to all

Eric, how close do you want to get? I know with some of the Oster clippers they can down to 1/64 of an inch. For more info go to www.bestclippers.com/oster.html

Maybe Wahl chrome pro is a good choice.
It comes with 11 different guides that allow you to cut your hair to whatever length is necessary.

You should use balding hair clippers to do the job. They have zero lap blade used for balding and fading.http://www.thesleekcut.com/definitive-reviews-of-the-best-wahl-balding-clippers/
