Hi, I am a natural medium brunette who has been
colouring her hair blonde for years (on and off). The last
couple of days have been a disaster and I could use
some advice. I have been using the loreal excellence
extra blonding cream lightest golden blonde, it was a bit
bright but I loved it and I could start getting away with
not having to use a pre-lightener. The ends of my hair
have taken a severe battering since I went through an
assortium of colours to find one I liked but it has been
getting a regular trim. It has taken me eighteen months
to get it shoulder lenghth as it is quite thick and wavey.
For some unknown reason I decided to tone it down a
little and went for a darker shade of blonde so I selected
the same range but the natural blonde colour instead of
the lightest golden blonde. I rinsed off as per
instructions and my hair had turned a silvery green matt
(very matt) colour!!!!! I slept on it overnight just in case
it looked any different in the morning..........it was the
same. In a blind panic I searched through my old
bathroom cabinet to see what I had in store to try and
cover up the problem, I found a ferria sunset blaze left
over from my "red days" just before I went blonde.
Without hesitation I applied it, the lenghth of my hair is
pink and the top of the hair is the colour the packet said
it would go a deep red/purple colour. What I would like
to know is if I took myself off to a salon, are they going
to be able to make me blonde again? I am willing to
comprimise by having to cut my hair (I cannot see it
being an option not to) will anyone be able to help or
will they all run for the hills when they see how damaged
my hair is?

You might be right about the loosing it part! Depending upon how damaged it is if it gets the color stripped it could turn to mush and break off. Keep us posted!

Sorry, but judging by the damage that seems to be done you have little choice but to grow it out a bit then have it cut quite short and start again. But don't make the same mistakes again!
