I have very thin and fine hair. My head burns in the summer, even when I wear a hat . Is there a conditioner with sunscreen out there.

thanks!!

Hi,

I too have thin fine hair. When I am at the beach, I always pull my hair up and the thin places always get burned. What I do is put zinc oxide on the thinning spots. But this is at beach, in real everyday life, I think I would use a regular sunscreen on your scalp. They make them non-greasy now.

The problem with conditioners with sunscreen is they are not rated with a sun protection factor. They are generally used to protect color from fading in the sun. Redken has a whole line of products for the sun called Sun Shape. However, when I called the 1-800 number to ask what the SPF was in this line they replied "It doesn't have one, it has sun filters." ...hhhmmmmm......

So, I believe your best bet would be a normal sunscreen for your scalp. The non-greasy kind.
I am a professional Hairstylist/Haircolorist with 19 years experience. I have traveled all over the country for my advanced education. I am also a salon owner.:)........and I LOVE Redken!!!

All the Phyto products have sunscreen added to the formulas. Phyto 9 and 7 both will help block out sunrays.

Also, Phyto has a complete line of hair care products designed specifically for the sun.

My hair is very fine, very blonde and very short. My solution? Don't lay out in the sun!
