Could be from:

Du rag

Brushing technique

Bad hair cut

Has this just happened or has it been there for a while?

If the spot is coming from the crown(middle of head) then that is where your hair naturally starts the growth process.

if it's from brushing, use a soft brush to get that line out. if you are using a softy already, brush with 2 mirrors. if you are doing that also.........don't what to tell you.

is the line in your crown. if so that jes means you need to brush correctly.

the line means, youve been brushing ur top and back the right way, but when you brush the sides, you arent going all the way to your crown.

and about the bald spot, watch ur hair cuts, becuz where your hair goes in its different directions, if you cut ur hair there and u arent being careful, you may end up cutting parts of the directional change atg making it shorter around the crown. that can cause the appearance of a bald spot.
