So I used an at home relaxer. My hair is not super curly. Curly/wavey and frizzy. Its not that bad I just live in a super humid super hot climate next to the salty ocean! So that just makes it worse. Either way I used a relaxer a few days ago hoping to just calm it down a bit. I didnt want super straight hair or anything...Either way I only left it in for about 8 to 10 minutes...and took all of the correct steps. Either way now my hair feels TERRIBLE! I am so upset it is not silky or healthy feeling at all. I cant even run my fingers though it when it is dry! It is really stiff and doesnt move at all it just kind of just clumps together. I can hardly get it into a pony tail. I am soooo upset. I have bleached and dyed my hair in the past and have never had my hair feel this horrible.  Does anyone have any suggestions? I have tried soaking it in conditioner for a few minutes and tried some leave in conditioner for damaged hair. Please if you know anything that will help to get my hair silky and slighty normal again please respond! Thanks so much.

i'm sorry sorry nobody has responded.  I don't have any answers.  You should probably call a stylist that specialists in this type of problem.

I would!!

Biolustre....some one get the biolustre treatment quick!!!

I went to have my hair straightened a couple of months ago and the lady that did it completely wrecked my hair.  I was told about biolustre which is a treatment for EXTREMELY damaged hair and viola!...my hair feels 10 times better.  I still have bends in my hair (don't ask) but my hair was breaking off every where.  Now it is more elastic and very shiny. I would google Biolustre and if you can, I would order some.  Or you MIGHT find a stylist that knows what it is and can do the process for you although it will probably cost you twice the price of the treatment itself and if you have the right tools you can do it your self cheaper.  Also, did the box tell you to do a deep conditioner afterwords?  I would do a deep conditioner.  You might have to invest in a bonnet dryer like I did but you wont regret it and do a DEEP conditioner on your hair.  If that doesn't work then get you some biolustre and your hair will love you for it.

I agree with jbrime123; Biolustre or treatments like that are very useful in these cases! Biolustre, I hear is great (never tried it myself) and you can get it on Ebay now. what I have been using (I have bleached hair) is heavy protein treatments regularly like: Nexxus Emergencee, Aphogee Treatment for Damaged Hair, Sebastian Penetraitt and lately, Grund Tiger Reconstructor. The protein will really help rebuild you hair BUT you have to follow them up with a heavy moisturizing conditioner or your hair will feel like sh*t! haha. That doesn't hold true for the Grund though (not animal protein). my hair used to break if I thought about touching it. Now, it almost feels like virgin hair and I STILL bleach my roots every month. Good luck!
Love clip-ins and tape!

Try the bumble and bumble damage treatment therapy.

De-stress colored, permed, straightened and otherwise tortured hair. Nutrient-rich formulas enrich and protect color, rebuild, strengthen and ward against chemical and environmental damage and turn straw to gold(well almost).

Regimen consists of: cleanser, conditioning creme, masque and complex.

Application:

1.Shampoo hair with cleanser. Low-lather formula is gentle and prevents stripping.

2.Condition: be sure to moisturize, even if you don't shampoo every day.

3. Apply complex: work through towel-dried hair from mid-shaft to ends. Apply sparingly (a little goes a long way). This leave in wonder works all day long.

4. Masque: once a week, substitude for step 2 and rinse after ten minutes.

Your best bet is to take care of your hair really well now. Without intense treatment you will have to wait till your hair fully grows out and live with damaged and anmanageable hair. I relaxed my hair once and had to wait. Almost at the end i found this treatment system and it worked!
