QuoteReplyTopic: Color & Curls... help Posted: August 20 2009 at 3:31pm
I have natural curly hair and well... idk what "type" you would call it but, I have quite thick hair and it curls into "ringlets" sometimes. Anyways, I've been coloring my hair ever since I was 13 starting off with at home hair color which I think was a foam and it was auburn and then when I was about 14-15 my grandma (professional beautician) used the real thing and ever since then I've been a "redhead" Problem is that the hair color fades within a week or two. No one thinks my hair is red, they say it's more brown. I think it's the shampoo/conditioner stuff I use as well as hair products. Sometimes I use my mom's products and sometime I use mine.
Tresemme for Curly/Wavy hair Shampoo + Conditioner.
So I'm getting my hair colored on Sunday and I need good shampoo/conditioner to preserve my hair AND keep my curls. It's something I need to buy at a store (like Walgreens or Jewel Osco)

don't shampoo regularly maybe once or twice a week. seriously , it strips the color from your hair. I use to co wash ( conditioner only, no shampoo) and it helped alot ( think WEN tv infomercial) . Or you could look in to Loreal Pure. it's sulfate free which about 95% of shampoos have that makes them strip color.
