Help! Need a hairstyle for my face type

Hello! This is my first post. I am really starting to hate my hair. I have tried everything, from very short hair to very long. Tried to style it in different ways...make it stay upright, fuzzy, etc, but I feel nothing works for me. I think my hair type is straight.

What I need are some detailed suggestions on how to style it. I would really appreciate it if you could go in depth on this matter and give me as many picture examples as you can. Personally, I'd go for the style in the second picture I attached, but I'm not sure if it is for my face type! I am really confused. Any other styling ideas you think are more suited for my face type are more than welcome!

The first picture is with me with my current hair (but I don't actually have it upright like that, it's basicly "flat" everywhere. I combed it upright like that just so you can see my face type in detail and give me the best advice.
