Does your SO cut your hair?

On our third date, I gave a woman who was to become my wife her first short haircut. She sat on a chair on the deck behind her house as I found the outside power plug for my clippers. In half an hour, the waist-length hair she had had her entire life was on the ground, and I was finishing buzzing the back of her head to a nice quarter-inch crop up to her occipital bone. She had gotten her first short pixie, with buzzed sides and back and mid-length layers on top.

I have been her hair cutter since.

The reason she agreed to the cut was that she had kept her hair long because it was easier to take care of than having to go to amsalon every few weeks to get a short cut maintained. The deal was, anything I cut I had to maintain.

Who else here is being cut -or cutting- their mate? Who initiated the discussion of getting a home haircut? Are you just letting your SO do trims, or have you gone all-in and had your SO do a major change?
