What can i use on my hair

Well my hair is getting longer now and i was wondering if anyone had any sugestions on what i could use to make it sort of stay the way it looks after i get out of the shower. just anything to make it not look as dry. something that will help it stay how i fix it but not get all hard like gel?? any help would be apreciated. thanks

yes i am using a conditioner and i use a leave in conditioner although im not quite sure if its doing all that much good. my hair is more coarse and stiff than most but as it gets longer it seems to be getting softer and less stiff.
