I've read Mimi Pond's other books, and I think she is fabulously hilarious!
Splitting Hairs -- the bald truth about bad hair days is a light-hearted book that has some great illustrations and hilarious commentary.
One of my favorite chapters gives some real names of salons in the US:
Shuns Styles in Oklahoma City, OK
Big Hairy Deal in Le Seuer, MN
Shear Dye-Nasty in Baltimore, MD
Bushwacker's Beauty Salon is Morrilton, AR
1 Bad Kut Hair and Nail Salon in Icala, FL
Suds & Scissors Salon in Malvern, AR (oh yeah -- I definitely want my hair cut by a drunken stylist!)
Jesus Cares Beauty Salon in Huntsville, AL
Thank God I'm Beautiful in Roy, UT
