Do you mind explaining more what you mean by natural?

Posted By: Amanda8Beechwoo
Date Posted: June 12 2005 at 12:46pm
Yes, do you mean kind to the hair or natural in the way they look?

Posted By: zapevaj
Date Posted: June 12 2005 at 5:33pm
Yeah, it's not so cut-and-dried, 'cause for shorter hair I'd say a weft method, and for longer hair I'd say an individual method.

Also, I know this sounds counter-intuitive, but natural-looking isn't everything- or at least, it's not the only consideration. For example, fusion/Great Lengths is often very natural-looking, but IMO it causes breakage, so I wouldn't use it no matter how natural it looked. Lots of toher considerations come into play, such as care requirements of the customer allergies to particular materials, etc. So juts because a mehtod is the most natural-looking doesn't mean it's necessarily the right one for you.

Yeah, I'm afraid this might be a little misleading. There's a poll a few posts down on "What's Your Favorite Extensions Method?" that probably gives a pretty good overview of what people like best, based on safety, undetectabilty, price, versatility, ease of installation, etc. Also, Great Lengths should not be broken out separately from fusion; it definitely *is* fusion. :)

I am a fully qualified & Insured hair extentionist. I can offer a full head or hair extentions for around £300 - £450 POUNDS. I use 100% A GRADE High quality human hair, cutical correct and can be treated as your own hair.
I can also put the extentions in using the micro ring method, which mean no glue and no damage to your own hair at all. These can so be removed and re-fitted after 3months. I also can use the hot fusion method and the shrinkies method. These all very long term and look lovely.

I have many happy clients. I have pictures, which I am able to email upon request.

Fusion would be my choice for the most natural looking extensions.  And Great Lengths is just a "brand" of fusion extensions and not a different type of application.  Because of the cost and life of Fusion (from 3-6 months) the choice to have fusion extensions would be for someone wanting long lasting extensions.  For someone wanting extensions for a special occasion weft or sewn-in extensions would be a better choice.
----Also, IMO, I have been specializing in Fusion Technology Extensions for almost 2 years now and have never caused any damage to any of my clients hair in fact, my clients hair grows and ends up in better condition than before the extensions.   The only time I have ever seen damage from fusion is from a non-experienced Extensionist or from clients trying to remove the extensions themselves instead of letting the Extensionist remove them.

Hi everyone,
My name is Jeannie & I'm a 39 yr old living 20 miles from Pittsburgh Pa.I'm new to this site & I love it so far. I've found alot of information that I could not find elsewhere. I have a question about hair extensions. I've just had extensions applied by the weft, braid sewin method. It's only been a week since I had them put in. So far so good. I bought Sassy Silk from Sally's Beauty Supply. Does anyone know if these are any good? Also, I found this new website for Batistone hair extensions. They are appied with adhesive tape & look very natural & smooth with not bumps. I was told that that Do Not damage the hair in any way & will last 3-6 months. Has anyone tried these yet or heard anything about them? I know that it is a new method. I need help. PLEASE... Confused

I just installed my Manemaxx with Tembond hair (I have a thread with my story) and I feel that it should be added as well.

More people should know about this.  Glue ruined my hair and even if you do have healthy hair putting glue on it is so bad and it won't stay healthy if you keep it up.  this removal is nothing, effortless, no damage, no glues to remove, no adhesives, just like a wax like substance that crumbles off.  When I was installing sometimes the bond would drip on my hair when i brought the extension to my hair to put in and it was nothing at all to pick it off.  It holds great!

Read about how safe it is to remove:
http://manemaxx.com/extensions/about/12-products/75-tembond.html?start=3

I just can't bear the thought that women are dealing with glues in their hair when they don't have to:
http://manemaxx.com/extensions/about/5-short/2-about-manemaxx.html

Will you please add it?  It IS a legitimate method to bonding extensions.

I sell Indian hair extensions and as for the poll..........I sell 99.9% fusion.
To all of you newbies in hair extensions, if it isn't from India, it's from China.
Any hair can be cuticle direct, however many companies remove the cuticle for easy coloring.  They still keep it direct and call it Remy, but there are no cuticles, just a lovely silicone spray that soon washes off and leaves the hair to start to tangle.  I had a vendor that sild me this hair and I used it for several months not knowing he removed the cuticles.  It didn't matte but it tangles.  You should be able to run your fingers through your hair at the end of the day with out having brushed it at all.  No special shampoos, pillow cases, braids, conditioners, or anything else.  Good Indian cuticle hair requires nothing.  Nor do you have to pay $400.00 to buy them.  Good luck in your rearches and don't just go by one persons word.  Another place to check is the complaints board. Google it.

glue is terrible for the natural cycle of some ones hair especially people with fine hair.
hair extension should be rotated every 6-8 weeks.
if you don't rotate you run the risk of actually slowly pulling the persons hair out. this is why generally girls feel like their hair feels thinner after having hair extension in for a long period of time. rotating hair extensions avoids these problem because your making sure you anchor the hair extension to ample amounts of hair at all times. this will differ from person to person of course.
hope this makes sense

fusion hair extensions are the most popular form of hair extension because they last the longest but the glue used in fusion hair extensions make the extensions feel artificial, tight and stiff.

Strand by strand methods like micro-ring hair extensions and fusion pre-bonded look and feel very natural. Fusion are the best in my opinion as the bonds are very small and undetectable and blend very nicely with your hair. As the bonds are so small the hair moves naturally with your own hair.
