No you cant change that it depends on your hair texture. If you have nappier hair or smaller curls in your hair then you will have small waves the larger the curls in your hair or the straighter the hair is you will have larger more spaced waves.

Even a kit can only strech out your pattern/the natural curl in your hair so much without making it straight and it wont make a great diff. you're basically stuck with what you have.

sorry man your stuck with the curls you were born with you cant change it. me i dont like those big waves i think nappy hair makes the best waves -------------

My waves changed to a degree from when I first started they are a lil more spaced and a lil thicker over time it can happen but it wont be dramatic as if you have "good hair." -------------
