Excellent picture. I realy love the back. Is the front just below the jawline by an inch or so? This cut works well for lots of ladies. Are you thinking of this style for someone? Let us know

Lovebobs, your answer is no. What would be done is first do the length desired. Then taper the back with razor or scissor over comb, check the cut for lentgh at sides. The client may nead to have the the clippers used just to clean up the edges. If she wants her hair to lay tighter at the nape I would ask her if she minded if clippers are used. Clippers help make a very straight line  and help define a cut by having the end more blunt. It's what ever the stylist and the client are comfortable with.
