I would love to carry a bag. Wife has too much male/female role ideas. No cross over. I have three sets of keys, lighter, wallet, comb, pens and paper I have to carry for work, sun glasses, cell phone.
I think a great accessory is jewelry also.  A bracelet, chain ( herirngbone) and earrings are always nice.

you could carry a messenger bag or a backpack.  I'd say tone it down on the jewelry.  one ring and maybe a necklace is about all I'm down with

my husband wears a beaded necklace we bought on our honeymoon.  he also wears his wedding ring and a watch.  thats it.  men are supposed to be more simple looking then women

My ex-husband had long hair and earrings, but still looked masculine, and he was handsome.
Many men carry bags, but usually not women's purses (unless they are gay men, or men who feminize themselves and dress as women, etc.)

I would say a messenger bag or backpack would be appropriate for going to work.
