Wannabes Tiffany Pisani and Alisha White are the pick of the crop with their new short cuts on Britain's Next Top Model.

But the 18-years-olds take some convincing after their dramatic makeovers tonight.

Tiffany, top, pleads with host Elle Macpherson: "How short will it be?"

Elle responds "Really, really short... like a pixie."

The wannabe, from Malta, can't help but burst into floods of tears after her long blonde hair is cut into an elfin crop.

And Alisha, a student from Clapham, South London, gets a shock as she loses her long pony tail - and is left with barely more than a buzz cut.

Meanwhile their rival Charlotte Holmes, 21, has a better time and is delighted when stylists tell her they want her to become a mini version of Elle.

The Living TV reality show is on at 9pm.
