I've been wondering if my hair would look anything like this, and if it would look good at all on me.

My hair I've been told is very coarse/thick and straight.

Hey bro,

Your hair seems wavy and I really think you can pull it off. I'm not sure how open you are to this, but I'd suggest using a mini-straightener to control where the hair flows. Start off with using a small amount of gell/heat protection spray, let it dry, then use a straightener to pull your hair back carefully. When you get the hair in the shape that you want, put some pomade/gel to make it shiny. If it's necessary, you can add hairspray too.
