News to me, apparently she cut it for her role in The Hobbit. There are three pictures from September 15, 2012 if you scroll about half way down the page.

Bummer to me. Always loved her long hair. "Wow, what a surprise, Kramer!" Yeah, I know, but her hair rocked. She even did ads for L'Oreal. The new 'do seems universally panned.

Was watching "Real Steel" the other day on HBO and was just thinking how great Evangeline's hair looked long. And, hoping she had started growing it out again after cutting it much shorter when she was pregnant.
Not so much, I guess. Not that she couldn't wear short hair, just not this short hair. Now back to "Rock'em Sock'em Robots" and "LOST" reruns... JF ------------- 3 pm is simultaneously too late and too early to start anything. |

| Evangeline's a beautiful woman no matter what, but I don't think super short is the way to go for her. She had one of the best long curly looks ever in the Lost days. I suspect she'll be growing it back out soon. |

Is your short hair part of the look of the character? Or is it just something that's easier to wear a wig with?
Neither. I just like short hair on women, I think it's cool. And I have wanted to cut my hair for very many years, but being on contract with a television show for six years prevents you from doing that, and then being on contract with a cosmetic endorsement campaign prevents you from doing that again. So for eight years, I've had to have long, flowing locks. Did you see Evangline Lilly on Craig Ferguson's show overnight? It was like the good old days. Of course, she had a thick braid that was a couple feet long and bangs that poked her in the eyes -- two looks that I enjoy. I'm looking for larger photos, but in the meantime, click on this...

Thank you. Another example of an actress with shorter hair going with longer hair to promote a movie. Evangeline is in "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug." Yes, she has long hair in the movie... and pointy ears!
