Hi SpookyDonna

1. You'll want to sleep with your hair contained... like in a sleep tail (with 2-3 scrunchies down the length) or a classic braid that comes around over my shoulder. Some folks prefer stuffing their braid into a clean sock. There are many ways of putting away your hair for bed, but these are the ones that I use. Maybe others can suggest more?

But if you reeeeally want to sleep loose, the best thing is to at least sleep on a satin pillowcase.

2. I oil my hair with one or two drops of coconut oil... just rubbing my hands together and running them through my hair. Others use jojoba, grapeseed, apricot, or other carrier oils; others may also focus on moisturizing their ends more than the length.

3. Measure your hair starting at the hairline at the top of your forehead, and end your measurement at the longest of your tips in the back. Keep your head level as you measure. It also helps to look your mirror reflection in the eye. This method t adds a bit to your "actual hair length", but this is what most people do. At least it's standardized! : P )

Good luck
Anais

When my hair got to be waist-length, I started waking up to find my hair had wrapped itself around my neck, so I began putting it in a scrunchy pony on top of my head, and letting it fall down over the head of my bed.

A couple of inches later, I was able to let it fall loose over the head of the bed. It's heavy enough that it stays in place.

Just looking for a few good hair slaves - is that too much to ask?

Hi SpookyDonna! You can also use a cap to contain your hair, like a showercap made from satin. Think 19th Century women, and you´ll get the idea. It works best with a satin pillowcase.

The more you complain, the longer God lets you live.
