I`m a guy, hair is about 3" on top, about 1" around the sides, and I figured this is the place to ask what I gotta do to put it up in liberty spikes. I got Dep level 7 and Beyond the Zone Stiff Head (wax) and my hair doesn`t normally stay perfectly straight. I don`t think glue is really necessary if I use enough wax, but if I got to I`ll do it. If I need a haircut in a certain way lemme know that also, and what I gotta do in the mornings to fix it. Thanx a lot, appreciate it.

Hmm... that would be kinda cool! Ya know what looks cool in hair? Gelatin! Some of my friends were in a play, and they had to have stiff white hair so they used that! LOL. I know this has nothing to do with this post, but I'll just say that I don't like liberty spikes... it looks odd. Unless you are Benji. Yummy.
i know how to do liberty spikes that can be up to about 12 inches high, because i do it often. it takes A LONG time to do but first you should get a box of gelatin unflavered jello stuff, then mix it with water. then you grab a chunk of hair, hold it up straight, and put the jello on it. u should use something to put it on with because if you use your hands, they will stick together. then u get a blowdryer and dry the one spike until it is rock hard. then u do it to the rest of your head. it really works but i have heard of people that use elmers glue, i haven't tried it yet though
You can also do spikes by using a little strong hold gel or wax and a hell of a lot of hairspary, strong hold stuff. u just shape your hair into the spikes, one at a time, spraying in the in the hairspray and dry it using the hairdryer, quite close and hot but b careful not 2 burn ur hair, then after that put a lil bit of wax/ gel and dry that 2 just to keep it holding. Thats how i do it and cos i am a gurl i have a shortish bob, so it dus hold well. so there ya go
well i spike my hair the libertain way, as u call it. how do i do it and wad do i use? i use lotsa CLAY (NOY WAX)... you ever heard of the japanese hair products brand called "Gatsby"?? Yea.. that brand... you go get this thingy called "Hairstyling Clay", most preferably from Gatsby... (coz tt's wot i use)... Clay realli works well, even with thick hair! fine hair, soft hair, hard-to-manage hair, etc. however take note that u must not wet your head before using clay or else the clay might dissolve, and form this white-colored solvent... well and use some hair-keeping spray after spiking your hair up... the type which holds ur hair in place... and take note not to use too much clay at once! use it 'spike by spike'... one at a time... dun b impatient and oh yea, it might take Abt 20 minutes or so. well when i first tried i took half an hour =p peace out.
any strong hold gel/wax/hair product will work. i have never tried liberty spikes-i've tried everyting else though....even an afro (different story) but, anything with puddy, taffy?, or wax in the name should work. Oh and billy, love I noticed you called benji from Good Charlotte a fag. I was just wondering how you knew his sexual preference and why it even matters?? hmmm...sounds like plain ol' stupidity to me. anyway, happy liberty spiking all!

Hi, for the spikes go to walmart or some supermarket and get the small tubs of holding paste or wax, apply a small amount to your fingertips and sparingly put on the spikes to make the hair stand up, then use a level 10 type gel(the strongest type) and apply to the hair and spike it. and a comment to the cave man who thinks benji is gay, why do you have to belittle yourself by making it sound like such a bad thing to be gay, kid, I hate to break it to you but your posting on a hair site, in some form or another you might be gay too, so shut the hell up....
never use glue on your hair. but onee thing you can do mwith your hair is that you can mix hair fuge ang a thik based gel to create a quike drying and hard hold hair product.

I tried Jellatin and it stunk... I think I'm gonna try what u said next week
use glue, to h*ll with conformity and good charlotte sucks and they're not punk. just because they pay hundreds of dollars to make their hair look punk doesn't mean they can play it or live it
Rock the**** on dude! Good Charlotte is crap. I personally think they are all very pretty, though. Like male Spice Girls or something. They're all hot, but they can't play real music for ****.
Oh, and my hair is like over a foot long. Does anyone know how I could get that to hold. I mean, I'm gonna mess around with it this week-end. I don't generally do anything like that with my hair, or anything but a weird eighties messy hair-do. But, yeah. We all just want to look weird at school for one day next week. It should be fun. But, I heard glue. Um, Some one has mortally scared me off Hot Topic glue 'cause they said it's impossible to manage... yeah. I think we'' try glue and hairspray.
welly welly welly well... yes GC BLOWS LIKEA**** STARVED PROSTIUTUTE!... mmhmm ya well im trying 2 do liberty spikes 2... its hard.. lol i hab long ass hair... well Dont use ICE SPIKER!...waste of munny.. and by what my freinds say... glue works but it is hell to ur hair... and leevs a wierd wite resin if u tuch it to much.. i also herd gellatin works... well ity does work... just dont ket it wet or peeple will enjoy liking ur head cuz its strawberrylishus .... i say use gellatin though.. its ezier 2 get out 2
