help my hair!

hi my name is sandy i have very long, ginger hair, it`s wavy and quite thick. i`ve recently had it feathered a little at the front, but i`d like to do something more daring. people always tell me not to have my hair cut because it is so nice, but i really need a change. i`d like to go for something more exciting, but still keep it fairly long so i can still put it up. if anyone can help in any way i would be very pleased - all ideas greatly appreciated.
p.s. i have an oval/ heart shaped face
