Teenage worries and stuff

Hello, people!

God, it`s hard living in Britain! such a small country, so there`s not many places to go to hide from people teasing you about your hair!

Sorry, bad publicity. It`s just that the `in` thing around here seems to be short hair, or no hair at all, and I`ve got really long hair. it comes down to just above my armpits-ish. it`s all cut at different lengths though, so some of it stays out when i tie my hair back. This is annoying when it`s windy, as i look like a pillock!

Anyway, i need help because i want to colour my hair red (I`ve always loved red hair, don`t really know why...), but the problem is that this will invariably lead to more teasing, and i`m not sure I can cope. I mean, i know that I am above such things, people that tease my probably don`t even know me, and I have friends who think that it`s great that I`m unique.

I always stand out in a crowd, even on saturdays in Manchester, when all the skaters and punks and goths, etc, come out. And i like to be unique. I`ve set myself goals as far as my hair is concerned: I want it straight (it curls at the ends, and this really annoys me!), red, and long.

If anybody knows anything about blow-drying hair straight (I can`t seem to do it!), has any good colourants, and can offer me a bit of reassurance, then thanks! I`d love you forever if you did!
