in teen mag this month they show a really hip cool style for teen gals its called an UNDERCUT=your hair is left alone on the top of your head the longer the better then all the back and some of the sides is BUZZCUT when your hair is down it looks normal but when it up it looks sooo cool they show a model who got the buzcut it looks mega cool anyway im realy thinkin bout doing this has anyone sen or done this? please respond--stacy
I had my hair cut in an undercut. I LOVED it :) My mom hated though. I used to love to feel the little short shaved hairs on the back of my head! Anyways, it is definitely a cut to get while in high school, because after that, it is not a very professional look if you want to wear your hair up for work. Post back if you get it done and tell how you like it!!
hi my 15 year old daughter begged me to let her cut her hair like this last fall i finally gave in and the look is actually very cute on her but after getting her hair re-cut 3 times and paying $15 each month i decided if she was gonna keep the cut id cut it myself so i purchased clippers and i cut it for her about once a month now she has hair to her mid-back i trim that hair every 3 months and i clipper the back about every month or so (whenever she asks me) on the 2 clip (1/4") her hair looks normal when its down and when its up you see the fuzz part its very cute and very easy to maintain go for it

Actually, that is an old cut, probably a good qo years ago if my memory serves me. Personally, I never liked the cut the transition was too severe for me.
I may well start my hair transformation with this cut, about 3 inches shaved at the back. It will look normal worn down but worn up people can see you`ve shaved it.
I got mine done like this this morning, 2 inches totally shaved with a small braid left at the base of my nape. It feels really strange but when I have my hair up it looks fantastic. I may get another inch shaved off when I get my main haircut soon.
I just had my friend give me an under cut last night. I took 3 inches off the back. My hair is like mid back. It was cool feel the hair fall as she buzzed it. I love this feeling I think I am going to keep my hair like this for a while. I like the contrast between stubble and long hair.
actually, this undercut thing was popular a few years ago. I remember in middle school, it was THE thing to do. (that was 9 years ago-whew!) Funny how everything is recycled in fashion. Even the 80`s are coming back! I laugh so hard at these fashions I`ve seen, being proclaimed as "cutting edge" and hip. I wore that stuff when I was 9 and 10 years old! hahaha, anyway, it`s interesting to see the revival.
i just went to the salon today and had my hair cut in an undercut. It is the most amazing cut i have ever had. My hair is a little past my shoulders and you can only see the buzzed back when i have up in a pony tail. The lady at the salon thought I had a wierd request for that cut.

Well first off i`m a guy, and i have myself an undercut and hate it personally (i have to have it cuz i tuck all my hair underneat a hat for work and it gives it the illusion its short so i won`t get in trouble.) i dunno i never really cared for undercut...but yet i keep mine at a size 1 blade...urgh

I got one out of Necessity! When I was younger and had longer hair (down to my hsoulders), it was so THICK that it would do weird flippy things in the back... and it always looked messy... so the next time i went in for a trim I asked the lady what I could do about it, and she said, Oh I can undercut it for you! So she clipped the back failry short (and sicne i never really wore my hair up anyway, it didnt matter) and the problem was solved! Tame hair from then on!
Of course, now I keep my hair short and spiky and WANT the flippy things, but the wont come back :) c`est la vie :-D
