Some of you might remember me from this spring when I was trying to decide if I should cut my long hair short. I decided to wait mostly cause my mom wanted me to, to see if it was a passing whim but I still want to try cutting my hair short so I`ve got an appointment for friday. I`ve never had short hair before but I really need a change so the long hair is gonna go. I figure I can donate about 14 inches to locks of love. My hair is pretty much straight. This it the style I still want to try. I`ll let you all know how it goes. Thanks to Arriana who helped me a lot. Bye

You can click on the picture to see what I was thinking of. I want it above the shoulders probably about to my chin like in the picture. Here is another picture with it styled differently

I really like that style and I think that you will too. My hair is cut in a very similar bob style with bangs except that mine is to just below my ear lobes. I love the movement and versatility of my hair and I think that you will too. Hey lemme know how it turns out k?

Well I did it and I really like it! I got it cut pretty much like in the picture but the back and sides are a little bit longer. It doesn`t quite touch my shoulders when it is wet and when it is dry it comes just a little below my chin. It feels sooooo different and I like to swing my head because it makes my hair move all over but then it just sort of falls back in place! I can`t believe it. I was kind of nervous when she first started cutting it but once I could see what it was going to look like I felt better. Only one of my friends has seen it and she couldn`t believe I actually did it because I`ve been talking about cutting it all summer but she really likes it and now she wants to cut her hair too but her hair is a lot curlier.

I`m really glad I did it but I`m happy that I waited because I really knew I was ready. I still feel strange when I see myself in the mirror so it is kind of a shock. I donated it to locks of love and it turned out to be about 12 inches.

That`s a good idea - I`d just keep the bangs more discrete, say the wispy kind. Will the back be angled or have a little wedge sticking out?
