I got one forced on me by my mom. She made me get my long hair cut short in a bob with a buzzed back. She says its cute but I hate it. The back feels funny. She made my younger sister get a short cut too but she got a pixie cut. What should I do to make her let me grow my hair out again?
I feel so sorry for everyone that has this happen to them. Growing up my mother NEVER forced me or my sister to do anything with our hair we didn`t want to. I am so so sorry to hear that u hat the new cut. Definately talk to your mother about this.......

I talked with my mother and she said I would have to wear short hair like this (or even shorter) for a long time.She says my sister and I need to worry about studying and school and not so much about how we look. She says with short hair we won`t spend as much time getting ready in the morning and it will be easier to keep up. She says we`re going to get monthly trims and she may have my bob cut into a pixie when the weather gets warmer. My sister already has a pixie (2 inches with a clipped back). She hates her hair, too. We`re lost!
Well it is easier but it should be your decision. Are you and your sister getting bad grades in school or lots of boys distracting you in school for your mother to feel this way? How old is you sister and how long was her hair before she got her hair cut? Best thing to do is just keep a positive attitude about it, this is just going to make you sick if you let your mom get to you. Just accept your haircut and get on with your life, you don`t have to like it but if you try to fight your mom it could make things worse. Don`t give your mom the satisfaction of makeing you upset that is what drives these people, when spring comes volunteer to get your haircut short and then you can do it on your terms not your moms. Although you don`t want to go any shorter then you already have, you can get a longer pixie then maybe your mother would force on you, and you would not feel as bad if you doing it on your own terms. Hi, Karen again. This hair fight has gotton worse than ever. I went and told her that she didn`t have the right to make me get a haircut and that I got advice from you all on the web. She went to the website and decided that I`ll now probably have to get it cut even shorter next time...like styles 5050 or 5051, she says. She says I`m being disrespectful to her and that I`ll be punished with an even shorter haircut next time. I don`t know what to do now.

*sigh* i dunno but even if this was fake, something like this is pretty serious...specially if it is real. besides you have like no proof that it is a fake...parents make there kids do things all the time...i just recently saw a show about bigomist cults who force their 12 year old children to marry their uncle. If that right there is real (it was on discovery channel so i seriously doubt it was fake) then a parent could easily do the same thing.

This is another fantasy forced haircutting post that is getting more ridiculous by the minute.

Just because you never herd anything like this does not mean it does not happen Ashley_spinelli. It does all the time, especially with mother daughter hair wars. For some reason mothers like tormenting there daughters by what the daughters say is ruining there hair, so grow up ashley you wish this was a fake but I believe karen. Her mother needs medical help but Karen can`t say that to her mom, to all these people who said she can refuse to get it cut this is what happens. You try disrepecting your mothers wishes and she what she does. As for Karen she may want to talk to a social worker or school concerler or a preist and have them talk to your mom, just be carefull what you do it could come back to bite you in the ass. You won`t like this suggestion but maybe you should accept your mothers decision to butcher your hair and just let it all blow over and let your mom cool down maybe even applogise, even though you may be right it will help your mom cool down and she may reconcider the shorter cut she thretend you with. Short hair isn`t all that bad either, you should try to like it sounds like your going to be stuck with it for a while. who knows you may end up liking it better than long hair. Oh yeah, for an innocent nieve (sp?) pre-teen victim. She sure knows alot of short hair terminology that an innocent liitle girl would not know unless she was a preditor lurking on short hair boards trying to invoke sympathy
I`m tending to agree with Ashley, I just can`t see a Mom logging on and siftin thru the gallery for hairstyles. The language doesn`t sound like a 14 year old either. I`m not making any accusations just stating my opinion.
