My name is Brittany and i am a teenage girl who is African-American and Caucasion i have long thick black hair that always gets frizzy and tangled but its not nappy. My problem is that my hair is so thick that i can`t do anything with it. Everyday it`s he same style which is parted down the middle and put into a bun. Do you have any advice for us teens that have all this hair and no styles for it. If so e-mail me at babygirl42602@aol.com

hi, i am black and hispanic, my hair is long thick and wavy, but a little coarse. detangle my hair dry, braid it in loose braids wash, and deep condition it , unloosen braids, comb out, and rebraid then rinse conditioner out. i put kemi oil shea butter cream in it and a little bone straight blowdry lotion then i put it in big braids , but tigher, and let it air dry, then i loossen then braids and wear it a nice neat wavy style, not the wild frizzy curls and waves i have naturally, i also just got this shampoo and conditioner called curly Q's off the internet, it is made especially for people who are mixed and adds great definition to your curls when you want to wear them out. you can also part the front in five sections, flat twist to the top of your head and either make the knots at the top or put in rubberbands and let it hang down, or curl the ends. you can pull your hair in to a pony tail and on the last twist of the ponytail holder don't pull the hair all the way through let it stay at the top of your head, if your hair is curly let the curls fall where they want, it not set it on rods and then let the curls fall. you can mix the flat twist style with this style, i had it for my wedding and it was soo pretty. also i would recommend you get a good black hairstylist. i am not being predjudiced, but they know how to deal with your hair and how to put it into a styles. any style you see , you practilly have, it is just a matter of knowing how to do it, which is what a hairdresser is for. also they will know what products to use in your hair to get the style you want, and you don't have to get a relaxer, it can be blown straight, flat ironed straight, or set on rods for neat defined curls. I used to be a bun or long one braid girl too.
