Help 4 long, fluffy hair!!!

I really need to do something, anything with my hair! I`m half Caucasian and half African American and my hair is long (down to my waist), fluffy, curly/frizzy, and black. I`ve been thinking about using hair dye in maybe red/auburn or honey blonde/really light golden brown. But first I want to get my hair under control, maybe straighten or layer it.. anything that would make it less fluffy. But really, I`m open to any suggestions about color or style. ~*Ok cut it to wear its a little past you shoulders. go get a profesional at hair get them to straiten it! And put a permanet dye in it. I would say A light brown with blonde high lights. hope I helped. ~*

hey i know exactly how you feel! i`m not 1/2 white and 1/2 black (i`m all white) but my hair has been wavy and frizzy for the past couple of years, mainly because i dye it every 8-10 weeks, but i finally discovered how to keep it under control. i cut my hair (yes, i did it myself) so that is was layered, with short layers around my face all the way to long ones a little past my shoulders. i also use Aussie Hair Insurance Leave-In Conditioner. It works soooooo good. I spray it on my hair as soon as i get out of the shower and use a thin toothed comb to make sure it gets all the way through my hair, then i let my hair air dry. For my shampoo and conditioner, I use Herbal Essences Fruit Fusions for damaged hair (it`s the purple one with blackberry, avocado, and other stuff in it). I have always hated Herbal Essences shampoos, hair dyes, gel...basically everything, but then they came out with the fruit fusions...i LOVE it!
