I have dark brown hair. A couple of weeks ago I put Blonde streaks into my hair and it looked pretty cute, but then my mom talked me into putting a lil bit of red in. Well, my hair did not take to the red like it was supposed to so my hair looks really bad. I put the red in Thursday, August 1st. I am thinking about coloring my hair back to my natural color then putting the blonde bakc in b/c I CAN NOT leave the red in . It looks really bad. Does any one have any ideas of anything I can do besides recoloring it brown? I want to have it recolored and high lighted before I start school August 12. Any ideas???? Thanks.

Thank you very much. SO, do you suggest that i go to a hair stylest and get it done or do you think i could do it myself at home? If i did go to a hair stylest about how much do you think it might cost?

I`m not sure what it would cost, but you really might want to have a professional do this if you are unhappy with the way it looks.

Stripping hair is definitely not a task that should be undertaken at home. It`s very damaging when done properly, so I shudder to imagine what would happen if something went wrong.

personally i suggest you go to a professional so that you don`t mess up your hair more but if you have done things like this to yourself in the past try it ..... i have no idea how much it would cost because i have never gotten this done but it will probably be a reasonable price... but remember prices always vary from salon to salon!! hope i have helped!

I have medium brown colored hair... and i was looking for a change so i died my hair auburn... and let me tell you the red will not fully come out soon... you will have to die it over and over again until it does comes out.. i also have brown hair with blonde streaks in it . I suggest you go to a good color stylist to get the color out ... dye your hair a couple shades darker than your normal hair color because if you dye it your normal color it will just wipe out the blonde but the red will still be somewhat visible. After you dye it put the blonde streaks back in your hair if you want. Make sure to get extra moisturizing shampoo or shampoo for colors. :) I hope i helped.. if you have any questions email me!
