I agree about the strand test....Natural Instincts is a semi perm. color. Since your hair is light brown it will be pretty bright. As for it looking natural, nobody is born with purple tones in their hair so it is not going to look "natural". I don`t quite understand what look you are going for. If you mean that you want subdued tones and NOT super bright crayon color this might work.Just do the strand test hon. :)
L`Oreal makes a good perm color that is purply/wine colored if you want it to last. Its called Rouge Romantiques and its the darkest and middle color that are purple/wine tinted.

P.S: I have nothing against people who have blonde hair but it`s just that for me, blonde hair blends in with my face. (not that my face is blonde... but hope you know what I mean) I need really dark hair with just few highlights of light brown... =( but I won`t be having that until I get my hair fixed to my natural hair colour.

Make sure you do a strand test before dyeing your

hair. I also suggest that you use semi-permanent

hair colour rather than permanent. For me, I got

hilights because I didn`t want drastic change. But

then I let someone dye my hair with permanent

hair colour and now it doesnt look natural. Plus, I

did a little research on permanent hair colour and it

said that it changes your natural pigment of your

hair!!! which means that my black-brown hair is

going to practically turn blonde (it already has ... a

bit) if I keep on shampooing my hair!!!! =( I really

want my natural hair colour back!!! And if you`re

really scared of the results, then just go to the

salon (that way, you`ll get the exact color you

want). And if something goes wrong, just

get `corrective colouring` or something like that to

fix the colour. Hope this helps!

I have short (almost touching my shoulders), light brown hair. I wanna dye it the clairol Natural Instincts egyptian plum color. Its kinda of a deep purple. Also it doesnt look like a faky color just natural. Would it come out okay?
