I say, yes, if you can stand the color and waiting for it to grow out, that`s the best way to guarentee healthy-looking hair. I speak from experience: about two years ago I dyed my naturally medium-brown hair, hoping to achieve a sunny light brown. Heh, was THAT ever a mistake. Not only did it turn brassy-red, it fried my poor hair to within an inch of its life. Needless to say, I stayed away from coloring and have spent the past two years patiently waiting for my shoulder-length hair to grow out the damage. Luckily, the red faded quite a bit and isn`t even noticeable--although the damage is if you were to touch my straw-like ends.
So yes, unless your hair is some ungodly green hue, let it grow. You can experiment with temporary color, rinses or color-enhancing shampoos/conditioners, but just be cautious and always remember to treat your hair gently! :-) Have a great week.

If you have your hair color stripped, it will not be its natural color: instead it will have ALL pigment removed (natural included) and you`ll have a lightish hue. Then you must have a color applied if you want to go back to your natural color. After that would come highlights--but be careful, this double-processing can cause significant damage and no amount of conditioner can repair your hair, regardless what the bottle says.

I just recently dyed all of my hair. Usually I just got it highlighted. I don`t like it that much and I feel like I`m fake. Is there anyway I can strip the color from my hair and start all over again with highlights?? Help!!
