I guess I have no life either... but in her defence it`s not very hard to remember someone that goes into great detail about how he wants his hair cut but can`t seem to expalin it to a stylist.

It sounds like a good style for your hair type- I think that they call that `angling`- I can`t do it cuz my hair is short & curly, but I think it looks good on straight hair. My advice would be to find a couple of pictures of that look (there`s probably some on this site) and bring them in to the stylist when you get it done. I think your explanation was fine- I understood it!

i have a Q: i have long waist length hair, want to get it trimmed 3inch and then lots of layers. i have thick hair. its black. its straight.
i want layers that are about half my hair that are at about just above my chest length. the rest of the hair i want to have long, just 3inch above what it is now.
basically, when i move around i dont want the back long hair to fall forward which is why i want about half or alot of it to be about chest length but the otehr half to be long length that just stays in the back, but the chest length would come forward.
is thjis a good idea? what do u think? is there a simpler way for me to explain this to the hairdresser?
