Hair ideas?!

I have blonde hair that is medium-thick and really poufy w/out any styling products. It is about four inches past my shoulder. I think I either have a heart or square shaped face? I don't know if this matters but I have blue eyes and fair skin...

My problem is that I can't decide if I want to grow it out or cut it. The main problem is my hair grows really slowly probabley due to all of my medications among other factors. I have an appointment on May 1 to get my hair dyed which is another issue. I don't particularly like the color my new hair is coming in...it is like a dull light brown. I don't like getting touchups though and would rather not put any more chemicals than necessary in my hair. But if I'm going to get anything done it will be on May 1.

I'm sorry if this is confusing but I really need some opinions and maybe pictures of hairstyles you might suggest?

Thank you for the idea. I've narrowed it down to either a chin length bob like you suggested or somthing like Kelly Clarkson's. I'm going to let my hairstylist decide exactly which one.
