Are perms still instyle?.. I would like to get my hair permed like Shakira's in this picture

But I don't know if thats a perm or if she curls it, and she has no frizz and it looks soft. But if I get my hair like her, will mine be frizzy?
My hair is 3 inches past my shoulders too.

I think she probably curls it. I don't know if there are different types but the perms I've seen certainly don't do that and they require specific care. Make sure you know exactly what your getting into if you get one. Or try cheap alternatives for curls like rag rolling.

It looks like something called a zoto perm, that was popular a while back- it gave waves as well as curls. Take the pic to the stylist, hand over your wallet, and in three hours it just might happen!

There are some girls that I have seen with their hair thats similiar to that. They have soft curls.. and they don't look like they curl it everyday. But they are also blonde- so I was thinking they might use a certain shampoo to make Blonde's hair healthier.. but I'm not too sure. I think I might just give it a try!

I totally want to do shakira's hair style too!!! It's so awesome and I love the way she puts temp. Hair color in her hair!!! I am also a shakira fan and she has super curly hair thats natural (like mine) She does get a large roller perm to tone down the frizzyness though!!! If you have natural straight hair from experiance from my frinds drop the perm Idea (chances are good ull hate it) Instead buy a large barrel curling Iron and some hair moose and wrap your dry moosed hair around the barrel without opening it toss and go!!! Good Luck
