my hair looks somewhat like that, except it's a bit shorter now, but basically it's the same thing. i've been growing it out for a while, but it's getting really boring, i never wear it out because i hate the way it looks out.

it's very thick, and very wavy. i've been debating straightening it, but i'm not sure how good that would be for my hair, especially since i've dyed it quite a few times. i'm thinking of going dark brown again, the closest to my natural hair color and just letting it grow out.

i'm also debating chopping it off, to get rid of ruined hair, even though it really isn't that bad at all. i just need a change. the problem is that every time i've cut it short, i've regretted it and vowed never to do it again. the thing is that even though i like the hair when i come out of the salon, i end up hating it once i have to fix it myself...

any suggestions? (i also really don't want to end up looking too young, i have the feeling i already look alot younger than i am... out of interest, how old would you guess i was?)

this post is too long, sorry.

My guess is 17.. but I've never been very good at guessing ages.

As for you hair... had an ex gf that had a simular problem. She would get a great new style then dislike it because she couldn't fix it like the stylist did. So after one style change she ask him to book her for extra time so he could teach her to do it. He was very pleased to do it and even told her he hated to see "some" of his clients on the street.

If your hair's still the same shade as the pic, it's a really nice one. If it were me, I'd keep it.
I think pixie cuts and the Meg Ryan flippy sort of styles look nice on cute pixie-faces like you seem to have. Or if you're still fond of it long, you could get layers put in so it won't be quite so bulky, or have it cut to frame the face better at the front, maybe? I'm not very good at long-hair advice, I'm afraid.
More awesome than a manatee!
