My girlfriend has waist length thick straight hair all one length. She finds it very erotic for me to play with it and style it for her. The problem is I've already mastered buns, briads and french twists and she wants new stuff. She's open to curling, teasing, or whatever except perms or cutting it. What other stuff is there and how do I do it? Can anyone out there help me?

My wife has mid back length hair that I style all the time. I too have done many of french braids, french twists(my favorite) and spent hours upon hours of just plain stroking and combing her hair. My all time favorite style is using hot rollers on her hair. It is very time consuming, but it is worth it! I have also tried rolling her hair when it was damp in small perm rollers, the result was amazing! You might even want to try twisting her hair before setting in the rollers, it give the spiral curl effect. My wife has always had shoulder length hair until a "stylist" just went nuts. After many tears, she decided that was it, and is letting it grow. I just recently was taught how to cut my wife's hair and she is in heaven. I don't know if she will let it grow to her waist or longer, but I can only hope for it! I hope I gave you some helpful tips, and good luck

My girlfriend has waist length hair and I also style it for her. She loves for me to brush it and comb it and touch it. I like it also.I have tried all kinds of different styles with success. I got a lot of ideas from Jim's video and just recently tried a lace braid effect that looked great. Also I have been experimenting with beads and ribbons woven into the actual braids.I also will curl her hair with pin curls for a wild effect.Good luck.Michael

I'm intrigued in the idea of pin curls. I thought pin curls were only for short hair. How do you do it with such long hair?

Well pin curls are not hard to do on long hair. It does take a little patience...that is for sure. But the results are worth it.Just take and section off the hair and then twist each section around your finger until you have a big fat pin curl. Then use a big fat bobby pin or even a clip to hold the pin curl in place. Great looking results.Pin curls are NOT only for short hair. Try it. Good luck.Michael

Michael, thanks for the advice. We'll have to give it a try. Should we be using any kind of styling product since her hair is very straight? tlg
